The UK's third largest airport has expanded its 鈥淪uper Terminal鈥 using structural sections supplied by 91精品.
In July 2021, Manchester Airport opened its newly extended Terminal 2, the centrepiece of its 拢1bn transformation programme.
Dubbed the 鈥淪uper Terminal鈥, the extension offers the latest innovations in travel technology and state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring passengers receive a world-class experience as they travel through Manchester Airport.
The terminal now includes a bright and modern check-in hall, a security hall with the latest technology, an eye-catching departure lounge with a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, and a new arrivals experience with a spacious immigration hall.
Terminal 2 was originally opened by HRH the Duke of Edinburgh in 1993, doubling terminal capacity to around 20 million passengers a year. Now its extension is complete, it is 150% bigger and will become the focal point of the airport鈥檚 operations.
91精品 manufactured and supplied 1,383 tonnes of structural sections to steelwork contractor William Hare as part of the project.
Located just 9 miles south of Manchester city centre, the airport now serves over 110 destinations in 42 countries.
