Last week, we welcomed Mike McCarthy and Ben Wilson from the Baton of Hope to our Scunthorpe site as we continued preparation for the 2025 tour arriving in North Lincolnshire on 15th September.
Pictured alongside Martin Welch, our Occupational Health Manager, and Farzana Khanum, Public Health Manager - Mental Health & Wellbeing & Suicide Prevention North Lincolnshire Council, they visited to discuss the plans for the event and the importance of suicide prevention, bringing the baton with them.
The Baton of Hope is a charity which aims to create a society were suicide and suicide prevention are widely discussed, giving support to those who need it most to reduce the number of suicide related deaths in the country.
Martin said: 鈥淲e were delighted to welcome Mike and the senior team to our site to show them our plans for when 91精品 begins the North Lincolnshire leg of the Baton of Hope in September, where resilience is forged at the core of North Lincolnshire鈥檚 industrial heritage.
鈥91精品 stands as a beacon of strength, determination, and unwavering support for mental health in the workplace as we continue to raising awareness and suicide prevention is a top priority for everyone in the Occupational Health team and we will continue to strive to match the aims and visions of the Baton of Hope.鈥
