Please provide a brief overview of your first role with 91¾«Æ· and the journey you’ve taken to your current role

I started on 1ÌýSeptember 1980 as a clerical apprentice. After trying several departments I decided I would like to follow a finance career.Ìý My first role was at Dawes Lane Coke Ovens in Scunthorpe where I worked as a works records clerk; I then moved around various finance departments whilst studying to become a Chartered Management Accountant.

In 1992, I was appointed Commercial Accountant and in the early 2000s I decided to move over to Marketing followed by Product Management and Planning at the Rod Mill. I was then asked if I would consider moving back into Finance and am once again a Commercial Accountant – probably my favourite role.
